Introduction

This publication is intended to specify the coolants, filters and maintenance intervals required for the diesel-fueled engines manufactured and marketed by Detroit™.

Selection of the properly approved coolant and filter in conjunction with mandatory coolant and filter maintenance is required to achieve optimal performance Detroit™ engines. Operating Detroit engines with unapproved coolants and filters may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
