Heated Headlamps
Each light-emitting diode (LED) headlamp assembly houses a high and low beam headlamp, a turn signal/accent lamp, and a de-icing lens heating system that includes an internal thermometer.
Neither the lamps nor the internal thermometer can be replaced; the LED headlight must be replaced as an assembly.
Headlight aiming should be checked every time a headlamp assembly is replaced or the hood is removed, installed, or adjusted.
If the headlights need to be cleaned, use a soft cloth, water, and mild, non-caustic soap or detergent.
Activation of the LED headlights heated lens system depends on the outside temperature and the vehicle being on. If the ambient outside temperature is less than 41°F (5°C) when the vehicle is keyed on, the heated lenses will turn on for five minutes. The heated lenses will not activate when the key is in the start position.
The heated lenses can also be activated by pressing the mirror heat switch or, if equipped, the heated windshield switch. If the vehicle is keyed on and the ambient outside temperature is less than 68°F (20°C) when one of these switches is pressed, the heated lens system will start cycling: twenty minutes on, twenty minutes off.
If the temperature reaches or exceeds 68°F (20°C), the heated lens system will turn off; it will start cycling again if the temperature goes below 68°F (20°C).
Pressing either the mirror heat or windshield heat switch again will turn off both the selected heating system and the heated lens system.
