Safety Precautions

Danger: Electric vehicles are equipped with a high-voltage system. Do not attempt any type of electrical work on the vehicle unless you have completed HV3 Daimler Safety Training. Failure to do so could cause severe personal injury or death.

When working on the vehicle, shut down the engine or motor, set the parking brake, and chock the tires. Before working on the vehicle, always place jack stands under the frame rails to ensure the vehicle cannot drop. For an electric vehicle, decommission the vehicle and verify the high-voltage system is shut down. Failure to follow these steps could result in serious personal injury or death.
