Two-Speed-Axle Shift Unit Lubricant Level Check

    Caution: Failure to keep the two-speed-axle shift unit filled to the proper level with the recommended lubricant can result in shift unit damage.

  1. Clean the oil fill plug and the area surrounding it. Remove the fill plug. See Fig..

  2. Lubricant should be level with the bottom of the fill hole. If lubricant level is low, check for leaks and have them corrected. Add lubricant as required. Use the same lubricant as the drive axle.
