Replacement Of The Cab Fresh-Air Filter

  1. Shut down the engine, set the parking brake, and chock the tires.
  2. From inside the cab, remove the fasteners that attach the HVAC cover, if equipped, to the HVAC assembly. Remove the HVAC cover. See Fig..

  3. To access the air filters, remove the screws that attach the air filter cover to the HVAC assembly. Remove the air filter cover.
  4. Remove the two air filters from the air intake plenum. See Fig..

  5. Install two new air filters in the air intake plenum. Make sure the arrow on the air filter is pointing in the direction shown in Fig..
  6. Using screws, attach the air filter cover to the HVAC assembly.
  7. Attach the HVAC cover, if equipped, to the HVAC assembly.
