  1. Park the vehicle and chock the tires.
  2. Set the park brake and put the transmission in neutral.
  3. Open the charge port access cover as as shown, see Fig.

  4. If the inlets are protected with doors as as shown, see Fig. press the latches in the direction of the arrows to open the doors.
    If the vehicle has charge port inlet plugs, as as shown, see Fig., remove the plugs.

    1. Verify the inlet status lamp is illuminated white, indicating that it is unlocked.

    2. Follow directions on the charge dispenser screen about payment or identity verification needed to start the charging process.
    3. Remove the coupler from the charge dispenser.
      If necessary, press the coupler's top latch button, as shown, see Fig.to remove the coupler from the charge dispenser.

    4. Plug the coupler into the charge port inlet until fully engaged, indicated by an audible click.
      When the coupler engages: the stop charging button illuminates, and the inlet status lamp and the inlet lock lamp go out.
      As a connection is being established between the charger and the vehicle, the charging status lamp, and the battery charging lamp, pulse orange.
      When the connection is made and charging of the high-voltage batteries begins, the charging status lamp, and the battery charging lamp, pulse green.

      Note: If the coupler is not fully engaged, charging will be limited at 1Kw. If this occurs, press the charge stop button then remove the charge coupler. When the charging station has reset indicating it is available, restart the charging procedure.

      1. When the vehicle is finished charging, the high-voltage batteries have either charged to 100 percent or reached the target state of charge, the charging status lamp and battery charging lamp illuminate a steady green.
        If charging with the key-off, both the charging status and battery charging lamps on the charging port turn off; if charging with key-on, both lamps stay on.
        The blue charger connected telltale, as as shown, see Fig. remains illuminated until the coupler is unplugged from the vehicle inlet.

        Important: Never release the park brake while the charging coupler is plugged in, or the truck may roll and cause damage to the equipment.

        1. When charging is complete press the coupler's top latch button and remove the charging coupler from the vehicle inlet before releasing the park brake. If the park brake is released prematurely, a warning window appears on the driver display and a continuous chime sounds until the issue is resolved. The dash label as shown, see Fig.., is a reminder to unplug the charging cable before releasing the park brake.

          Note: The charging process can be stopped at any time in the following ways:

            • Press the stop charging button to stop charging and automatically unlock the inlet.

            • Select the stop charging option on the charge dispenser to stop charging and unlock the inlet.

            • Press the coupler's top latch button to stop charging; then press the stop charging button.

            • Lock and unlock the cab door to unlock the inlet.

          1. Install the charging inlet plugs if equipped, or latch the inlet doors and close the charge port cover.
