The needle on the driver display power gauge, as as shown, see Fig..shows how much available power is being used. When recuperative braking is active, the needle moves to the left of the zero; the trailing blue-white bar shows how much power is being fed to the batteries.

It's normal for the ePowertrain to experience reductions of power due to a variety of conditions, including:

  • high ambient temperature,

  • low ambient temperature,

  • a high state of charge,

  • a low state of charge.

If the loss of available power is connected to a diagnostic trouble code, take the vehicle to an authorized Freightliner service provider.
