Activating or Deactivating Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Note: Lane departure warning is optional with Detroit Assurance 4.0.
Note: There is no audible self-test of the "rumble-strip noise" of the LDW when the key is turned on.
When the engine is turned on, LDW is automatically activated.
Pressing the LDW OFF switch will deactivate lane departure warning temporarily. See Fig..

Lane departure warning is not active if:
-
the driver presses the LDW OFF switch; or
-
the system is searching for a lane.
If there is a system error, the LDW telltale will illuminate in the driver display. See Fig..
