Activating or Deactivating Side Guard Assist

If activated, SGA and ASGA are on when the truck is turned on.

If the truck is equipped with menu settings, SGA can be deactivated or reactivated on an ICUC system under 'Settings' > 'Safety Systems Settings' > 'More Information' > 'Side Guard Assist' or on an ICC5 under the 'Settings' > 'Driving Assistance' menu.

ASGA relies on SGA and its activation is not controlled separately by the driver. To override the ASGA warning and braking sequence, the driver presses the accelerator pedal past the pressure point to engage kickdown.
