Check Transmission Indicator
Important: The check transmission indicator is used in both the ICU3S and Ametek panels.
On liquid propane gas (LPG) units with an Ametek panel, the check transmission indicator illuminates when the transmission fluid temperature goes above a preset level set by the transmission manufacturer. For more information, see the transmission manufacturer's manual provided with the vehicle.
Note: The check transmission indicator may also activate if a transmission fault is detected. For more information, see the transmission manufacturer's manual provided with the vehicle.
The check transmission indicator notifies the driver of three things. Any of the following items could be the cause for activating the lamp:
-
oil life monitor (determines when the oil needs to be changed)
-
filter life monitor (determines when the filter[s] need to be changed)
-
transmission health monitor (determines when clutch maintenance is required)
When the check transmission indicator illuminates, refer to the Allison Operator's Manual or contact customer support at Allison Transmission to determine the specific cause activating the indicator.
