Note: Labels shown in this chapter are examples only. Actual specifications may vary from vehicle to vehicle.

This vehicle is equipped with several labels in compliance with industry and local standards. Generally, labels are attached to the inside of the cab doors, on the B-pillars, on the sun visors, or attached to the outside of the ziplock document bag.

Below is a list of vehicle labels and their typical locations. This list is not exhaustive, and label location may differ depending on the vehicle.

  • Component Information Label

The component information label is located on the underside of the driver's sun visor.

  • Component Gross Weight Rating (GWR) Label

The component GWR label is located on the right-hand B-pillar. Vehicles domiciled in Mexico have a Spanish GWR label.

  • Federal Motor Safety Standard (FMVSS) Label

The FMVSS label is attached to the left-hand B-pillar. It is applied on the interior edge for vehicles domiciled in the United States or manufactured for U.S./Canada operation.

The FMVSS label is applied to the exterior edge of the B-pillar if paired with a Spanish weights and measurements label. Vehicles domiciled in Mexico are labeled with a Spanish weights and measurement label that lists suitable tire and rim combinations.

  • Canada Certification Label

The Canada Certification Label (for a complete or incomplete vehicle) is located on the left-hand B-pillar, either on the exterior edge, or stand alone.

  • Mexico Certification Label

Vehicles domiciled in Mexico have a Mexico certification label applied to the right-hand B-pillar.

  • Spanish Weights and Measures Label

The Spanish Weights and Measures Label is located either on the interior or exterior edge of the left-hand B-pillar.

The Vehicle Emission Control Information Label is located on the left-hand B-pillar.

  • Noise Emissions Control Labels

The EPA Vehicle Noise Emissions Control Label is usually located inside the left-hand door.

The NOM Vehicle Noise Emissions Control Label is usually located inside the left-hand door. For vehicles manufactured for dual Mexico/United States operation, both labels are applied. In this case, the NOM Vehicle Noise Emission Control Label is located in the primary location on the left-hand B-pillar and the EPA noise emission control label is applied to the left-hand door.

  • Certified Clean Idle Label (CARB)

The CARB Certified Clean Idle Label is placed near the exterior bottom edge of the left-hand door.

  • Customer Assistance Label
