Reverse

    Warning: If the engine cranks in any gear other than neutral, have the vehicle serviced immediately. If the vehicle is started in gear it will suddenly move forward or backward, which could result in personal injury and damage to property and the transmission.

    Note: To drive in reverse, first depress the clutch.

  1. Move the gear select lever to the "R" position.
  2. Select either LO or HI reverse by depressing either the downshift or upshift button (see Fig.) on the gear select handle.

  3. Release the clutch.

    Note: The clutch must be used for starting and stopping.
