Lubrication of the Baggage Door and Sleeper Access Door Release Cable and Latch

    Note: Use a silicone lubricant such as WD-40 or equivalent.

  1. Open the baggage door and the sleeper access door (if equipped) by pulling the release handle(s) located inside the cab door opening. See Fig..

  2. Pull out on the baggage door handle, and apply a light coating of lubricant to the exposed length of cable. Repeat for the sleeper access door cable, if equipped.
  3. At the opened baggage door, apply a light coating of lubricant to the latch jaw and the exposed length of cable. See Fig.. Repeat for the sleeper access door, if equipped. Removal of trim panels is not required.
    Note: Baggage door latch shown. Sleeper access door latch is similar.

    • Lubricate the latch jaws and the exposed length of cable.
