Important: When the batteries are disconnected (disconnect switch is turned to OFF), the cable to the starter is still hot, as it is not connected through the disconnect switch.
Some chassis may be equipped with a battery disconnect switch that can be used to prevent unwanted drain from the vehicle battery when the vehicle is not in use or is in storage. It can also rapidly disconnect the power supply in the event of an emergency. Mounting locations vary. See Fig..
