Disconnect the batteries at the negative terminals. Drain
all air from the air system.
Note: the Borg Warner Service Alert Tool
is available
at no cost. To get one, contact your Borg Warner representative.
If the tool is not available, use a 0.062-inch (1.57mm) feeler gauge
to check the clutch wear.
Using the Borg Warner Service Alert Tool, check the clutch
wear as shown in Fig., and Fig..
With the
fan clutch engaged, check the remaining life in the clutch
liner.
