Greasing the Drive Axle Slack Adjuster

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, shut down the engine, and set the parking brake.
2. Chock the front tires.
3. Chock one drive-axle tire.
4. Cage the drive-tire park-brake chamber opposite of the tire that is chocked.
5. Grease the slack adjuster on the caged brake side only.
6. Uncage the park brake.
7. Move the drive-tire chock to the other side of the axle and chock the other set of tires.
8. Cage the drive-tire park-brake chamber opposite of the tire that is chocked.
9. Grease the slack adjuster on the caged brake side only.
10. Uncage the park brake.
11. If equipped with more than one drive-axle, repeat this process for the remaining drive-axles.
