Note: Light penetrating oils, such as WD40, should not be used because they wash out beneficial factory-installed grease, and they evaporate.

Wipe old grease and dirt from all door latch assemblies, then apply liberal amounts of an approved grease to each moving joint; see Table.. Use an appropriate applicator that will not leave material behind.
