Note: Light penetrating oils, such as WD40, should not be used because they wash out beneficial factory-installed grease, and they evaporate.

Wipe old grease and dirt from door checks. Lubricate each moving joint of the door checks at installation and every six months thereafter, with an approved grease; see Table.. Use an appropriate applicator that will not leave material behind.

Hinge installed on or after 8/1/2005, with dimple in the top loop of the hinge bracket. Do not lubricate.

Hinge installed before 8/1/2005. Lubricate according to recommendations.
