Allison automatic transmissions are controlled by one of the following shift controls depending on what is installed in the vehicle. See figure and figure . For vehicles equipped with the automatic transmission multifunction control, shown in figure , the control moves in two directions and has two switches. It is used to request manual shifts, change shift mode, set engine brake levels, and control specialty engine brake functions. See Chapter 7 for complete transmission operating instructions.
