The oil pressure gauge should read in the normal range, from 2 to 80 psi (14 to 552 kPa). See figure .

Notice: A sudden decrease or absence of engine oil pressure may indicate mechanical failure. Bring the vehicle to a safe stop and investigate the cause to prevent further damage. Do not operate the engine until the cause has been determined and corrected.
