SGA Telltales
Note: The telltales described as grey may appear white depending on the type of instrument panel installed in the vehicle. Amber telltales raise awareness of an object. Red telltales warn of a possible collision.
On start up, the driver knows the vehicle is equipped with SGA if the SGA icon appears in the Detroit Assurance screen along with ABS. An SGA initializing telltale, the first telltale in Table appears on the driver display as the startup sequence continues.
If SGA monitoring experiences an error or is deactivated a grey triangle with a slash appears.
Note: When the transmission is shifted to reverse, SGA OFF telltale appears in the display until the transmission is shifted back to Neutral (N) or forward gears.
After SGA is turned off, it remains off until the driver turns SGA on using the driver display or by stopping and turning the vehicle off and on again. When the vehicle is running and SGA is turned off, the driver display shows the Side Guard Assist Error or Deactivation telltales shown in Table .
Alerts are color-coded to indicate severity. Red indicates a condition that may pose a threat to control of the vehicle. Amber indicates a condition that may result in damage to vehicle components. Grey is used for notices.
