The fuel and DEF levels can be measured in a dual purpose fuel/DEF level gauge. See Fig..

The diesel fuel and DEF levels are indicated on the gauge. A low fuel warning lamp illuminates amber when the diesel fuel level registers 1/8th of capacity. The low DEF warning lamp illuminates amber when the DEF level reaches 10% of capacity.
