Releasing the Parking Brakes on a Non-Towing Vehicle

  1. Turn on the ignition.

  2. Verify that the two LED displays illuminate, indicating that the spring brakes are set.

  3. Close the driver and passenger doors.

  4. Fasten the seat belt.

  5. Apply the foot brake.

  6. Start the engine and allow the system to build pressure to the governor cut-out.

  7. Push the bottom of the yellow parking brake control.

  8. Verify that the LED displays on the yellow parking brake control extinguish, then drive the vehicle.

Setting the Parking Brakes on a Non-Towing Vehicle

  1. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop.

  2. Continue to apply the foot brake.

  3. Place the transmission in the appropriate gear.

  4. Verify that all LEDs are extinguished.

  5. Pull the bottom of the yellow parking brake control.

  6. Verify that the LED displays illuminate, indicating that the spring brakes are set.
