sdp dm 11.06.009

When releasing the parking and spring brakes on a tractor-trailer combination it is necessary to release the tractor parking brake separately from releasing the spring brakes on the trailer. However, if Intellipark detects a situation where the driver has forgotten to release the trailer spring brakes and the vehicle is in motion, the spring brakes on the trailer automatically release.

Release the Parking Brake on the Tractor

  1. Close the driver's and passenger's doors.

  2. Fasten the seat belt.

  3. Apply the foot brake.

  5. Verify that all LEDs on both controls illuminate and remain illuminated.

  6. Start the engine, and allow the system to build pressure to governor cut-out.

  7. Push the yellow parking brake control.

  8. Verify that the LEDs on the yellow parking brake control extinguish.

  9. Verify that the LEDs on the red trailer air control remain illuminated. See Fig..
