System Faults
Warning: LEDs blinking, or one light lluminated on a control, indicate there is a problem or fault with the system. In some instances, the parking brake may be unavailable and the vehicle should NOT be driven. Failure to follow this instruction can result in personal injury and property damage.
See Fig. and Table. for an interpretation of each LED illumination status.

Parking with a Fault
-
Stop on a level surface. Shut off the engine and open the driver-side window in order to hear air exhaust from the parking brakes.
-
Engage the parking brake by pulling the bottom of the parking brake control. Engage the trailer spring brakes by pulling on the bottom of the trailer air supply switch. Listen for air exhausting.
-
If the parking brake and trailer spring brakes did not engage, key off the vehicle and “fan down” the air reservoirs by repeatedly depressing the service brake pedal, until the parking brake and trailer spring brakes automatically set.
-
Turn off the battery power to the vehicle.
-
Chock the wheels.
Starting After a Fault
-
Start the engine.
-
Remain in the driver’s seat as the air brake system builds air, keeping the brake pedal depressed to ensure the vehicle remains stationary.
-
Once the system air is at a normal operating range remove the wheel chocks.
-
Release the parking brake by depressing the foot brake then pushing the bottom of the parking brake control, and the bottom of the trailer air supply control.
