Noise Emission Control Labels

For vehicles manufactured for operation in the United States, an EPA noise emission control label as shown, see Fig., is applied to attest that the vehicle conforms to United States EPA regulations for noise.

The noise emission control label is applied to the left-hand B-pillar as show in Fig.

It is the owner's responsibility to maintain the vehicle so it conforms to all applicable regulations.

Important: Certain Freightliner incomplete vehicles may be produced for the United States market with incomplete noise control hardware. Such vehicles will have an incomplete vehicle noise emission control information label as shown, see Fig.. For such vehicles, it is the final-stage manufacturer's responsibility to complete the vehicle in conformity to the applicable regulations and label it for compliance.
