Activating and Deactivating Active Brake Assist 6 (ABA6)

To override the ABA6 warning and braking sequence, press the accelerator pedal past the pressure point to engage kickdown. If the vehicle does not have the kickdown feature, this can also be achieved by completely depressing the accelerator pedal. For vehicles without kickdown, the accelerator pedal must be depressed from 99 to 100 percent to override the ABA warning and braking sequence.

If there is a system error, the ABA unavailable telltale, as shown in Fig. , illuminates on the driver display screen and a caution window, as shown in Fig. , appears on the driver display.
