Electronic Park Brake Maintenance Mode
The vehicle may need to be put into maintenance mode to spin the tires without the brakes setting.
Note: Maintenance mode is intended to be used during maintenance only. Maintenance mode disables when the vehicle is driven above 18 mph (30 km/h). Do not put the vehicle into maintenance mode to tow the vehicle.
To engage maintenance mode:
-
Ensure the keyswitch is in the ON position (the engine can be running or off), the door is closed, the service brake is applied, and the system has adequate air pressure.
-
Disengage the tractor park brake by pressing the yellow switch lever while all the park brake interlocks are satisfied.
-
After the tractor park brakes are successfully disengaged, push and hold the yellow switch lever while turning the keyswitch from the ON to OFF position.
When maintenance mode is engaged, a pop-up appears on the driver display, shown in Fig. .
To disable maintenance mode, repeat the same steps above.
Important: Maintenance mode should only be used during maintenance procedures that require the ability to spin the tires. Always disable maintenance mode before driving the vehicle again. Leaving maintenance mode enabled prevents rollaway intervention, which could result in damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
