Activating and Deactivating Front Guard Alert (FGA)
The driver can activate and deactivate FGA through the ICU.
If equipped, the ICC5 following distance can be adjusted under 'Settings' > 'Driving Assistance' > 'Front Guard Assist.'
If equipped, the ICUC menu under 'Settings' > 'Safety Systems Settings' > 'Front Guard Assist' can be used to turn on and off FGA.
If FGA is deactivated, the ‘FGA Off’ icon appears on the ICU. The amber FGA alert telltale still operates as normal, but the red warning telltale and auditory warning no longer operate.
If there is a system error or the system is in a faulted state, the ‘FGA Off’ telltale, as shown in Fig. , illuminates on the driver display screen. If the system is in a faulted state, the driver will not be able to reactivate FGA.
