Deactivating Optimized Idle

Optimized Idle can be shut down by:

  • using the Optimized Idle menu screens on the driver display;

  • turning off the ignition;

  • using the drive-away feature, as follows.

  • If the engine is running: Release the parking brakes, put the transmission in gear (automated/automatic transmissions), or depress the clutch (manual transmissions).

  • If the engine is not running: Start the engine. Release the parking brakes, put the transmission in gear (automated/automatic transmissions), or depress the clutch (manual transmissions).

  • Let the engine return to base idle. The telltale turns off. Optimized Idle is now disabled.
