Parking with a Fault

1. Stop on a level surface. Shut off the engine and open the driver-side window in order to hear air exhaust from the parking brakes.
2. Engage the parking brake by pulling the bottom of the parking brake control. Engage the trailer spring brakes by pulling on the bottom of the trailer air supply switch. Listen for air exhausting.
3. If the parking brake and trailer spring brakes did not engage, key off the vehicle and “fan down” the air reservoirs by repeatedly depressing the service brake pedal, until the parking brake and trailer spring brakes automatically set.
4. Turn off the battery power to the vehicle.
5. Chock the wheels.
