Anti-Roll-Away Feature
The Intellipark anti-roll-away feature is intended to mitigate the possibility of a roll-away resulting from the driver failing to set the parking brake. Anti-roll-away automatically sets the parking brake within three seconds in the following circumstances.
-
The engine is turned off and the park brake was not set prior.
-
The vehicle is stationary, the accelerator pedal is not pressed, and the foot brake is not applied.
-
The driver's door is opened and the speed is less than 3 mph (5 km/h).
Both LEDs in the yellow control blink continuously until the mitigation is acknowledged. To acknowledge, pull out on the bottom of the parking brake control.
Important: The parking brake can not be released until the anti-roll-away mitigation has been acknowledged.
Release the parking brake by depressing the foot brake and pushing the bottom of the parking brake control. See Fig.Anti-Roll-Away Mitigation Acknowledgment Sequence for the sequence of actions required.
